Mr. Petriella has sold and financed over $1 Billion in commercial real estate transactions in New York, California and other major markets. Most recently, he led growth efforts and managed day-to-day operations for Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services and Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation, a national, publicly traded commercial real estate brokerage company.
He also founded The Real Estate Finance group, Inc., a small capital advisory firm with offices in Los Angeles, Kansas and New York City, and worked as an advisor to Ackman-Ziff, an established New York City Capital Advisory boutique. Prior to commercial real estate sales and financing, Mr. Petriella worked for well-known hotel companies Four Seasons, Westin and Hilton Hotels.
Mr. Petriella graduated from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University following studies in business and engineering at Manhattan College in Riverdale, N.Y. He resides in New York City with his wife and son.
A second generation banker, Kevin’s professional career began at Citicorp/Citibank NA in New York City. There he worked as a Portfolio Manager of Asset Management Accounts for an affluent international clientele, specializing in Fixed Income investments, Asset-based Lending, and overall Wealth Management for nearly 7 years.
Kevin later joining UBS-PaineWebber in Miami, and as a Vice President for Investments, where his Clients included Commercial Real Estate Investors. He was frequently among the top 5 producers in this flagship UBS-Miami branch, and was consequently recruited by Merrill Lynch prior to its acquisition by Bank of America.
At Silverthread Capital, LLC in New York, Kevin’s focus is on expanding his portfolio of Commercial Real Estate investors through Debt & Equity Financing.
Kevin is a graduate of Columbia University (BA. Econ).
Richard brings over 20 years experience in commercial real estate finance as a consultant, lender and banker: originating, structuring and closing over $25 billion in transactions.
Prior to joining Silverthread Capital, Richard was President of Petrich International, an advisory firm providing capital market services to an international client base of institutional and mid-market commercial real estate investors and financial institutions.
During his career, Richard has worked with and consulted for financial institutions and private real estate lenders, including: A10 Capital, HSH Nordbank, Münchener Hypothekenbank and Credit Lyonnais.
Richard is an Adjunct Professor at New York University – Schack Institute of Real Estate. He received a Bachelor of Science: Business Administration degree from Villanova University and attended New York University – Master of Science: Real Estate program.
He is a Board Member of the MBA of New York and Chair of the MBA of NY Mentor Program.
Mr. Cho is a recognized leader in the commercial real estate profession, having overseen a high volume of transactions and strategically built numerous long-lasting relationships within the industry. He most recently served in an advisory role with The Real Estate Finance Group.
He began his career in 1999 with Marcus & Millichap where he was involved in commercial real estate valuations, transaction management, financial analysis/modeling and underwriting, and analyzing due diligence materials. He later served with Sperry Van Ness where he honed his skills in the acquisition and disposition of retail investment properties, with a focus on single tenant retail investments nationwide.
Mr. Cho’s Professional Affiliations include International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM). He is a graduate of University of California – Irvine.
Cameron Zecy is a graduate from the University of Mississippi, with majors in both Managerial Finance as well as Real Estate. Cameron has worked in commercial real estate here in New York City since 2015. Before joining Silverthread Cameron specialized in financing single tenant retail properties with Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp.
Cameron is a native of Kansas City, MO currently residing in Brooklyn, NY and enjoys the outdoors, hunting, and watching sports.
Daniel Frishman is a Director with Silverthread Capital. He brings over a decade of experience in the real estate industry.
For the past six years, Mr. Frishman served as Director of Acquisitions at United American Land, a privately held real estate company located in New York City.
Prior to that he held a position as an associate broker at Besen & Associates, a full service commercial real estate brokerage. Over the course of his career, Mr. Frishman has been involved in the sale and disposition of over $700 MM worth of commercial property.
With several years of experience working on the owner’s side of the business, Mr. Frishman offers a unique perspective to capital markets in the real estate industry. Mr. Frishman graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Financial Management.
Mr. Frishman is a New York native and currently resides in Manhattan with his fiancé and dog.
Amit Israni is a graduate from NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate, where he received a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development and Investment. Amit also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of San Diego, where he double majored in Real Estate and Finance.
Amit has invaluable exposure to various facets of the real estate industry. Prior to joining Silverthread Capital, he held a position as an underwriter at Western Alliance Bank, underwriting commercial real estate loans of all asset types, including bridge and construction loans; he helped manage over $100MM in loan commitments. Amit has also held a position with Pacifica Companies as an investment analyst, focusing on acquiring REO’s, multifamily, senior housing, hotels, and land; he underwrote more than $500MM of investment opportunities. Amit has also held various internships throughout his career, including one as an analyst with Anbau Enterprises, a Manhattan luxury condominium developer.
Amit will offer his in-depth real estate and underwriting expertise to Silverthread. He is a San Diego-native and is currently living in New York City. In his free time, he enjoys surfing, traveling internationally, eating exotic foods, and spending time with his family and friends.
Frank is an Analyst with Silverthread Capital, LLC, specializing in the structure and arrangement of financing between banks and borrowers. Mr. Summers is an accomplished commercial real estate and financial professional with nearly a decade of experience.
Prior to joining Silverthread Capital, LLC, he served as a Financing Analyst for DRA Advisors, LLC where he worked with investment management on loan solutions for properties across the South, Midwest, and East Coast regions.
Previously with Hudson Bay Capital Management LP, Mr. Summers conducted asset valuation, securities lending optimization and cost analysis. Frank has also worked for The Bank of New York Mellon, Apache Trading, LLC and Princeton Financial Advisors, LLC.
Frank currently resides in Morristown, New Jersey. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business.
Whitney Deutsch is the Processing and Closing Manager for Silverthread Capital, LLC, specializing in client service, coordinating due diligence materials, and managing the closing of real estate debt and equity transactions.Prior to joining Silverthread Capital, LLC, She was a Senior Loan Administrator for Luther Burbank Savings where she managed commercial real estate transactions for multiple Loan Officers.
Previously with Quantum Capital Partners a mortgage banking firm, Ms. Deutsch was a Financial Analyst responsible for managing the loan origination process, proposal packages and coordinating timely closings.
Whitney currently resides in Eagan, Minnesota. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management.
Alissa J. Gaines is a Managing Director with Silverthread Capital, LLC, bringing over 25 years of experience in real estate finance, capital markets and investment. She offers a unique and personal hands-on approach to her work, combined with many years of institutional commercial real estate experience.
Ms. Gaines works with both experienced property owners and first-time buyers, guiding them through each step of the property acquisition process to the closing table. Over the years, she has worked with a core group of investment sales brokers, local and national lenders, attorneys and financial consultants.
Prior to joining Silverthread Capital, LLC, Ms. Gaines was President of Carlyle Financial, LLC, a privately held mortgage banking firm based in Westport, CT, with a focus on meeting the capital needs of small commercial property and business owners. In this role, she successfully originated and placed debt for hundreds of transactions both large and small.
Ms. Gaines received her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. She is a Past President of the Association of Real Estate Women, (now CREW New York) a 350-member organization in NYC where she now serves on its President’s Council. She is also a member of the Cornell Real Estate Council and the Cornell Society of Hotelmen.
Mr. Novo most recently served as Managing Partner for Novo Capital Partners, Inc., a firm that specialized in commercial financing and strategic debt structuring. Novo Capital Partners, Inc. was also recently acquired by Silverthread Capital, LLC.
Mr. Novo started his career at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corp., where he was responsible for the underwriting and configuration of new debt requirements. His experience deepened when he co-founded The Real Estate Finance Group, Inc., where the team operated brokerage offices in Los Angeles and New York. Between 2012 and 2013, the company funded and closed over $100 million in real estate financing transactions, while helping his clients realize the best rate and terms available for their investments.
Hailing from Los Angeles, Mr. Novo attended and graduated from Loyola Marymount University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance.
Chris Cota joins us from Venture West Funding, a very successful boutique commercial real estate mortgage brokerage, where he spent over ten years arranging financing. Chris focuses on delivering solutions to address his clients’ real estate capital requirements, and his high level of service has resulted in numerous repeat clients and referrals. Although Chris specializes in multifamily financing, he has successfully originated retail, office, industrial, and hospitality property financing. Chris has been involved in several hundred transactions, typically in the $1 million to $5 million range. Notable assignments would include the funding of a $7,500,000 acquisition & development loan for a 13 unit apartment building Redondo Beach, and a $6,500,000 purchase loan for an apartment building in Texas.
Chris is a Southern California native, and he resides in Orange County. He will be located in our Orange County offices.
Prior to joining Silverthread Capital, Devin Wash started his career as a capital markets associate for Rosano Partners in downtown Los Angeles. He made a name for himself as the company’s head finance associate and was responsible for all facets of their debt and equity platform. In December 2015 he was recognized as Rosano Partner’s fastest growing associate and was given the company’s “Pacesetter Award.” Mr. Wash works with both seasoned and first time investors to secure the most competitive financing options for various commercial assets.
At Silverthread Capital, Devin Wash will serve as a loan originator continuing to place debt and equity for his clients.
Devin is a southern California native and currently lives in west LA. He attended and graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara, earning his Bachelor’s degree in Economics with an emphasis in business strategy.
Mr. Zarate most recently served as an Associate Loan Originator at Novo Capital Partners, Inc., where he was responsible for new debt underwriting, preparing new loan request packages, expanding the firm’s lender database, and handling daily client communications.
Mr. Zarate graduated from the University of Southern California in 2012, earning a bachelor’s degree in Economics. His experience in commercial real estate finance began during his undergraduate years while interning at Marcus & Millichap in Encino, California. Upon graduating USC, he joined The Real Estate Finance Group, Inc. in the Los Angeles office as an Associate Analyst prior to joining Novo Capital Partners.
